Binaural Beats Generator

Two slightly different tones, one in each ear.

Stereo headphones required. Speakers blend the channels and break the effect.

Left ear: 200 Hz. Right ear: 210 Hz. Perceived beat: 10 Hz.

About

Plays one frequency in your left ear and a slightly different one in your right. Your brain perceives a third 'beat' frequency equal to the difference. Common targets are alpha (8-13 Hz) for relaxation, beta (13-30 Hz) for focus, theta (4-8 Hz) for meditation, and delta (0.5-4 Hz) for sleep.

How to use

  1. Put on stereo headphones.
  2. Pick a preset (alpha, beta, theta, delta) or set your own.
  3. Hit play.

FAQ

Do I need headphones?+

Yes. The effect requires each ear hearing a different tone. Speakers blend them and you lose the binaural part.

Does this actually do anything?+

Research is mixed. Some studies show modest effects on focus or relaxation. Worst case it's a steady drone you can use as background.
