GPA letter equivalents (4.0 scale)

B = 3.0
B− = 2.7
C+ = 2.3
C = 2.0
C− = 1.7

Formula: (target × total credits − current × completed credits) ÷ next-term credits. Pulling a 3.2 to a 3.5 with 60 credits behind you and only 15 ahead means you need a 4.7 next term, which is mathematically impossible. The math gets easier the earlier in your degree you adjust course.

FAQ
Why does it get harder over time?+
Each new term is a smaller fraction of your total credits. Pulling a cumulative GPA up by 0.3 takes a near-perfect term in your last semester. The earlier you start, the easier the math.
